The White Balcao Hostel - Panaji

The rooms at The White Balcao are amazing! They have a balcony where you can enjoy the beautiful view while sipping your morning coffee. The bed linen is so cozy and comfortable, making it hard to get out of bed in the morning. As a guest who values relaxation and comfort, I absolutely loved it!

If I had to pick a downside, I would say that I personally found the lighting in the room a little dim. But hey, that's just my preference.

The hotel's Portuguese influences are evident in its tasteful decor. The prime location in the old Portuguese quarter is ideal for photography enthusiasts. Many delicious Goan food joints are nearby. Attractions are easily accessible by foot or a short bus ride. The highlight was the delicious breakfast with generous portions. The manager, Fahad, went above and beyond to help me and even offered me dinner from his kebab shop. If you're visiting Panaji, The White Balcao is the best choice for value and location.

Loved the vegetarian breakfast, it was so filling that I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. Also, the location was great, I could practically roll out of bed and be at all the famous attractions.

Oh, and let's not forget the nightly surprise visits from the guard, it was like having my own personal alarm clock! How delightful.

We had a fantastic stay at this new property in Fontainhas. the atmosphere gave us a true feel of living in a heritage house, with its arched doors, wooden stairs, and beautiful fountain area. the common areas were tastefully done and perfect for spending a rainy day. the dorms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast provided was delicious and filling. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in the neighborhood. Don't forget to visit the nearby Joseph bar for an authentic local experience!
